About this role
Trilon Group's GIS Analyst role centers on building and maintaining spatial data systems that support the company's architecture and engineering projects. You'll lead GIS initiatives from design through implementation, manage data quality across multiple layers, and create mapping solutions for complex environmental and engineering challenges. About a third of your time goes to developing GIS tools and applications, with another fifth spent on data management and access, and the remainder split between client consultation, ad hoc analysis, and project support across departments.
This position demands solid technical depth—five to seven years of hands-on GIS work beyond your degree, with strong proficiency in ArcGIS Desktop, AutoCAD, and GPS systems. You'll need a bachelor's degree in environmental science, landscape architecture, or a related field, plus familiarity with the A/E industry and environmental regulations. The role requires you to work independently while coordinating across engineering, environmental, and surveying teams, so communication skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities matter as much as technical expertise. Occasional fieldwork and a valid driver's license are part of the expectations.
Based in Orlando and in-office full-time, this is a role for someone who wants to own GIS projects end-to-end rather than execute tasks in isolation. The benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401k, and paid time off.
