About this role
UL Solutions' Retail quality team in Atlanta is looking for an electrical engineering student to support quality assurance and continuous improvement work across the supply chain. You'd spend your internship identifying and troubleshooting product quality issues, helping develop failure analysis documentation and test plans, and working directly with retail customers to resolve problems involving materials, tolerancing, and supplier performance. The role involves analyzing test data, conducting statistical work, and contributing to the development of reporting systems—hands-on problem-solving that connects engineering fundamentals to real-world quality challenges.
This is an in-office position suited for a sophomore, junior, or senior pursuing electrical engineering or a related ABET-accredited degree. You'll need strong communication skills to work effectively with customers and cross-functional teams, plus a willingness to learn and work both collaboratively and independently. Prior experience with soldering, circuit analysis, hand tools, and measuring equipment is preferred but not required; what matters most is a solid grasp of electrical fundamentals and genuine interest in quality and reliability.
