About this role
Trilon Group is seeking an Environmental Scientist to support environmental compliance and assessment work tied to architectural and engineering projects in the Orlando area. The role centers on fieldwork—wetland delineations, water quality monitoring, and species identification—combined with regulatory knowledge specific to Florida's permitting landscape, including the five Water Management Districts, FDEP, and Army Corps of Engineers. You'll apply scientific judgment to produce compliant work products, conduct quality assurance on monitoring data, and coordinate across internal teams and external clients.
The position requires a bachelor's degree in environmental science, biology, ecology, or a related field, plus at least one year of hands-on experience in environmental consulting or management. GIS and environmental assessment experience are highly valued. You'll work in-office in Orlando and spend considerable time in the field across varying weather and terrain, so comfort with outdoor conditions and a valid driver's license are essential. The role demands strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and sound professional judgment to work with minimal supervision once you understand project objectives.
Trilon Group offers medical, dental, and vision coverage, company-paid life and short-term disability insurance, a 401(k), paid time off, paid holidays, and paid parental leave. This is a full-time, in-office position suited to someone with foundational environmental science experience who is ready to deepen expertise in Florida-specific regulatory frameworks and field-based environmental assessment.
