About this role

Enva's Health & Safety Graduate role offers hands-on experience across high-risk operational environments in waste management, industrial cleaning, and hazardous materials handling. Based in Portlaoise with nationwide travel required, you'll work alongside experienced safety professionals to support the implementation of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems, conduct workplace inspections, assist with risk assessments and incident investigations, and help develop safety culture across operational sites and customer locations. This is a structured development position designed to build practical competence in operational safety, environmental compliance, and behavioural safety.

The role demands someone with a third-level qualification in Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering or a related discipline, combined with strong organisational and analytical skills. You'll need a full clean driving licence, proficiency in standard office software, and ideally some familiarity with ISO management systems. The work involves field-based activities—accompanying teams during confined space entry, tank cleaning, high-pressure jetting, and waste handling operations—as well as office-based tasks like maintaining training records, preparing audit documentation, and analysing safety trends.

This suits a graduate ready to move beyond theory into real operational safety challenges, with the capacity to work independently and manage competing priorities across multiple sites. Enva offers a competitive salary, pension scheme, enhanced family policies, and employee support programmes, alongside the opportunity to progress into a professional Health & Safety career within a growing company.
