About this role
ISG's Transportation team is looking for a Senior Traffic Engineer to lead projects across their national client base, which includes state DOTs, municipalities, and private sector organizations. You'd work in their Brookfield office alongside the Transportation Business Unit Leader and other engineers, taking ownership of traffic studies, intersection evaluations, signal and roundabout design, and construction staging plans. The role balances technical depth—data collection, modeling, and design work—with client relationship management and mentorship of junior staff.
This position suits someone with at least five years of civil engineering experience, a PE license, and ideally PTOE certification. You'll need strong analytical skills for traffic simulation and modeling, but also the ability to translate complex transportation challenges into practical solutions, whether through signal timing, land use strategy, or corridor improvements. ISG emphasizes collaboration and in-office presence, so the role expects you to contribute beyond individual projects by supporting colleagues and the broader organizational mission.
The salary range is $70,000–$135,000, with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, profit sharing, and an employee stock ownership plan. ISG notes they're open to discussing compensation outside the stated range if you're a strong fit.
