About this role
ISG's Transportation team is seeking a Senior Traffic Engineer to lead projects across their national client base, which includes state DOTs, municipalities, and private sector organizations. You'd work directly with the Transportation Business Unit Leader and other engineers on the full scope of traffic engineering work—from data collection and intersection analysis to designing signal systems, roundabouts, and traffic control plans. The role emphasizes both technical depth and client relationship management, requiring you to understand client priorities and translate them into creative, forward-thinking solutions.
This position calls for at least five years of professional experience in civil engineering, a bachelor's degree in the field, and a PE license; PTOE certification is preferred. Beyond project delivery, you'd serve as a technical resource and mentor to other team members, contributing to the firm's collaborative culture. The role is based in-office to support that mentorship and cross-office connection, though ISG has multiple locations.
ISG offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off and holidays, paid parental leave, profit sharing, an employee stock ownership plan, and retirement benefits. The salary range is $70,000–$135,000, and the firm indicates openness to discussion if your experience and needs fall outside that range.
