About this role

ISG's Transportation team is seeking a Senior Traffic Engineer to lead projects across their national client base, working from their Des Moines office in a collaborative, in-office environment. You'd manage the full scope of traffic engineering work—from data collection and intersection evaluations through traffic signal design, roundabout planning, and construction staging—while using simulation and modeling software to solve complex mobility challenges. This position requires at least five years of professional experience in civil engineering, a bachelor's degree in the field, and a PE license; PTOE certification is preferred. Beyond technical delivery, you'd serve as a mentor and internal resource for the team, build client relationships by understanding their priorities, and contribute to ISG's broader organizational goals. The company, founded in 1973 and employee-owned, offers competitive compensation ($70,000–$135,000), comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, paid parental leave, profit sharing, and an ESOP, plus flexibility on compensation if your experience warrants discussion.
