About this role
GRVTY is looking for a Systems Engineer to support technical risk analysis on a classified government program in Chantilly, Virginia. You'll design and maintain secure, scalable backend systems using Python and Neo4J while managing Kubernetes clusters on AWS. The role demands hands-on expertise across the full stack—from database optimization and CI/CD pipeline work to implementing security protocols in a high-security environment. You'll also mentor junior developers and participate in code reviews to maintain quality standards.
The position requires an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph, which is non-negotiable for this customer engagement. Beyond that core requirement, you need solid experience with Python, Neo4J, Kubernetes, and AWS infrastructure. Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus or Grafana, knowledge of graph algorithms, and exposure to CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins or GitLab will strengthen your candidacy. AWS and Kubernetes certifications are valued but not required.
This is a contract role paying $150,000–$250,000 depending on experience and qualifications. GRVTY offers comprehensive benefits including health coverage, 401k matching, paid time off, and professional development opportunities. The position is in-office only, so you'll need to be based in or willing to relocate to the Northern Virginia area.
