Description

Bond Vet is on a mission to strengthen the human-animal bond through better pet care. We offer primary and urgent care, so we’re there for pets when they need us most. Our clinics are designed with pets and people in mind: warm, friendly, and highly sniffable. We balance this design with a strong focus on technology, all built in-house, which means we can easily innovate our systems to improve the veterinary team, pet, and client experience.

In July 2026, Bond Vet and Small Door Veterinary merged  to build a more connected, accessible, and compassionate veterinary care experience across routine, primary, and urgent care. The combined organization will span more than 55 clinics across major Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Midwest markets, serving over half a million pets.

This role will play an important part in shaping the next chapter of our combined organization and advancing our shared mission to transform veterinary care.

About this role

Bond Vet's Boston Seaport clinic is hiring a temporary veterinary assistant for spring semester—a four-day-per-week position (10-hour shifts) at $17–$19 per hour. You'd work alongside veterinarians and vet technicians in a clinic designed to blend warm, pet-friendly spaces with in-house technology. The role involves scribing during exams, assisting with procedures like surgeries and x-rays, handling and restraining animals, maintaining clinic areas, and helping clients understand treatment plans and pricing.

The position suits someone with at least one year of veterinary or kennel assistant experience who's comfortable with veterinary terminology, strong typing skills, and the ability to juggle multiple tasks accurately. You'll need excellent communication—both written and verbal—and genuine care for animals. Bond Vet emphasizes work-life balance with schedules posted a month ahead, and offers perks like provided FIGS scrubs, in-clinic laundry, stocked pantries, and weekend team lunches. The company also provides up to 100% tuition reimbursement if you're pursuing your LVT, CVT, or RVT certification.

This is a temporary role, so it's ideal if you're looking for flexible spring work or testing out a clinic environment. You must have unrestricted U.S. work authorization; Bond Vet does not sponsor visas for this position.
