About this role
VCCP Roar has created this Account Director role as part of a deliberate expansion of its corporate practice, positioning it as a key growth area through 2027 and beyond. You'd be joining a 150-person integrated agency that merged three specialist firms—Good Relations, Harvard, and Teamspirit—and now operates across consumer, technology, corporate reputation, and financial services. The role sits at the centre of shaping how the agency approaches corporate influence, working alongside talented teams across the wider VCCP Group.
Your day-to-day would span the full spectrum of corporate PR: leading account teams through reputation campaigns, thought leadership, sustainability, and crisis management; building relationships with senior media contacts; producing strategic content from press releases to reports; and managing client programmes that often span multiple disciplines within the agency. You'd own the client relationship as trusted advisor, handle budget and service level management, and drive both reactive and proactive media work across traditional and digital channels. Leadership of junior team members, mentoring, and delegation would be core to the role, as would identifying upsell opportunities and contributing to new business pitches.
This suits someone with proven experience at Senior Account Manager level or above in corporate PR, with strong credentials in reputation management, B2B communications, thought leadership, or crisis handling across sectors like FMCG, energy, technology, or professional services. You'd need solid commercial skills, excellent strategic writing and presentation abilities, and the temperament to thrive in a fast-paced environment where you're equally comfortable working independently and collaborating across integrated teams. The agency is looking for someone genuinely curious about corporate reputation and the news agenda, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to build trust quickly with both clients and colleagues.
