About this role
DMG::Media's Daily Mail is building out its original video operation and needs a videographer/editor who can work across the full production pipeline—shooting and editing explainers, interviews, features and short-form stories for the website. You'd be based at their Derry Street headquarters in London, working in-office as part of an editorial team that's actively pushing video formats forward. The role demands both technical proficiency (DSLR/mirrorless cameras, audio, lighting, Adobe Premiere Pro) and creative judgment, with projects moving from concept through to final multi-platform delivery.
This is a fast-paced newsroom environment where flexibility matters: you'll need to handle tight deadlines, work autonomously or alongside producers and reporters, and be ready to deploy to the field at short notice as stories break. The ideal candidate combines strong production values with genuine interest in current affairs and digital storytelling—someone who understands what resonates with audiences and can contribute creative ideas beyond just executing briefs. A solid portfolio demonstrating sharp editing and visual storytelling is essential to the application.
The permanent role comes with 25 days' holiday (rising to 30), pension, life cover, onsite gym and medical facilities, and a range of other benefits that increase with tenure. If you're an ambitious visual storyteller who thrives under pressure and wants to elevate video output at one of the UK's largest news publishers, this role offers a direct path to make that impact.
