About this role
Working on a CMS contract with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, you'd support and eventually step into a Project Manager role overseeing medical review systems and workflows for a federal healthcare client. This is a dedicated, in-office position in Baltimore where you'd help structure project plans, monitor execution against CMS requirements, and collaborate across teams to keep complex initiatives on track—with the expectation that you'll be ready to lead independently when your PM is unavailable.
The role demands substantial healthcare and federal government experience: at least three years in a healthcare-adjacent PM, operations, or technical leadership role, plus two years specifically managing medical review systems with staff oversight and two years working with Medicare Fee-for-Service rules and coverage policies. You'll need a bachelor's degree in a healthcare field and either a master's in accounting, business, public administration, or healthcare, or four additional years of relevant work experience. Project Management certification is required or must be actively pursued.
This contract position at Accenture Federal Services offers a salary range of $90,300 to $174,400 depending on experience and location, with benefits available to employees. It's suited to someone with deep Medicare and medical review expertise who's ready to move into project leadership within a federal contracting environment.
