About this role

iCapital's Service Desk Engineer role sits at the intersection of hands-on technical support and strategic problem-solving. You'd be the go-to person for end-users across the organization, handling everything from troubleshooting applications and systems to provisioning access and preparing hardware for new employees. The work spans both reactive support—resolving incidents and restoring services—and proactive tasks like testing new platforms and conducting root cause analysis. This is a role that rewards strong judgment and communication skills, since you'll be working directly with senior-level users and sometimes investigating complex issues that require clear technical recommendations.

The position calls for at least three years of hands-on end-user support experience, with specific depth in Microsoft cloud technologies (O365, OneDrive, Exchange), desktop environments (Windows, MS Office), and ideally VDI systems. Familiarity with PowerShell, Mac OSX, remote troubleshooting techniques, and ServiceNow would strengthen your candidacy. You'll need to be comfortable documenting work in ticket systems, managing competing priorities in a fast-paced setting, and occasionally joining after-hours calls to support employees.

Based in Salt Lake City, the role offers remote flexibility on Fridays while requiring office presence Monday through Thursday. The salary range is $70,000 to $85,000, with equity participation, performance bonuses, an employer-matched retirement plan, and comprehensive benefits including fully employer-paid dental and vision coverage, telemedicine, mental health support, parental leave, and unlimited PTO.
