About this role

Comprehensive Mobile Care is looking for an optometrist to staff an outpatient clinic in Lansing on a minimal, predictable schedule: just two weekdays per month, 8:30am to 4:30pm. You'd work as an independent contractor (1099) providing comprehensive eye exams, diagnosing ocular conditions, and prescribing corrective lenses to senior patients within an established clinic team. The clinic handles all equipment, supplies, scheduling, and billing—you focus solely on clinical care.

This role suits someone seeking meaningful work without the burden of practice ownership or high-volume retail pressure. The setting emphasizes quality care and long-term partnerships over throughput. You'll collaborate with full-time clinic staff in a coordinated, mission-driven environment serving underserved seniors. An active Michigan optometry license and OD degree are required; prior experience with senior populations is preferred.

The appeal here is straightforward: genuine clinical work with genuine flexibility, administrative support, and no nights or weekends. If you want to contribute to community-focused healthcare while maintaining a light schedule and avoiding practice overhead, this is worth exploring.
