About this role
Oral Surgery Partners in Dakota Dunes is hiring a Surgical Dental Assistant to support oral surgeons in a specialized practice. You'd work Monday through Wednesday 8am–5pm and Thursday–Friday 8am–3pm, assisting during procedures, preparing instruments and materials, monitoring patient vitals, and maintaining surgical workflows in a fast-paced clinical environment. The role also involves significant operational responsibilities: maintaining clean operatories, managing equipment and supplies, documenting procedures accurately, handling controlled substances, and supporting monthly safety and compliance checks including crash cart readiness, fire extinguishers, and X-ray calibration.
The practice values a strong work ethic and willingness to learn as much as prior experience. While dental or oral surgery assistant background is preferred, they'll train the right candidate who has a high school diploma and current or obtainable basic life support certification. You'll need solid computer skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to multitask and prioritize in a demanding environment—with occasional overtime and standing for extended periods.
Full-time employees receive medical, dental, and vision insurance with HSA options, company-paid life and disability coverage, a 401(k) with employer contributions and profit sharing after six months, PTO, and eight paid holidays. This is a good fit if you're detail-oriented, patient-focused, and ready to develop expertise in surgical dentistry within a structured, safety-conscious practice.
