About this role
Hunter Douglas's Broomfield facility is looking for a technician who can split their time between traditional building maintenance and operating an on-site industrial wastewater treatment system. You'd spend roughly half your time on general facilities work—plumbing repairs, furniture assembly, vendor coordination, and support for renovations and events—and the other half running and monitoring the wastewater treatment equipment, collecting samples, adjusting chemical processes, and maintaining compliance records with environmental regulations.
This role requires at least two years of hands-on experience in facilities, maintenance, or wastewater operations, plus solid mechanical troubleshooting skills and the ability to read technical drawings. You'll need working knowledge of pumps, valves, piping systems, and electrical concepts, along with familiarity with safety practices, chemical handling, and the regulatory landscape for industrial wastewater. Basic computer skills and recordkeeping experience round out the technical requirements.
The position offers an hourly rate of $20–$30 depending on your background, a 2.5% bonus target, and a full benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, and paid parental leave. If you have dual expertise in facilities maintenance and wastewater systems—or strong fundamentals in both—and want a role that keeps you hands-on and varied, this could be a solid fit.
