About this role
Relay is seeking a Technical Account Manager to own the bridge between its hardware, software, and supply chain operations and the carrier partners who certify and launch its devices. You'll drive cellular product certifications with major US network operators, manage the full lifecycle from pre-launch PRD development through post-launch quality resolution, and coordinate across internal teams and external manufacturers to bring products to market on schedule and in compliance with all regulatory and network standards.
This role demands 10+ years in a customer-facing technical capacity with direct experience certifying cellular devices at major carriers. You'll need strong cross-functional influence across hardware, software, supply chain, and marketing, paired with the ability to communicate fluidly between technical depth and executive summary. A background in cellular device manufacturing is essential; experience with two or more major US operators and demonstrated expertise across wireless engineering disciplines (electrical, mechanical, audio, antenna/RF) would be a significant advantage.
Based in Raleigh and reporting to the Sr. Director of Hardware Products, you'll join a hyper-growth company with strong retention metrics and deep carrier relationships. The role is contract-based and in-office, with occasional travel to testing labs and headquarters for key meetings.
