About this role

Ascension seeks a Strategic Delivery Director to serve as the central technology strategist and problem-solver for its Baltimore market. You would own the governance process that vets and prioritizes all technology requests, working with market executives to ensure alignment between immediate operational needs and long-term ministry goals. This role demands strong judgment in escalation management—you'll be the trusted point of contact when technology issues arise across projects and routine operations, responsible for independently assessing problems and engaging the right stakeholders to resolve them.

The position requires you to influence without direct authority, shaping market partners' technology decisions through expert guidance and collaborative problem-solving rather than directive management. You'll build and maintain relationships across leadership levels, shifting the dynamic from passive order-taking to proactive partnership. This calls for someone with at least three years of applicable technology experience and two years in a leadership or management capacity, though five or more years of leadership experience is preferred. A bachelor's degree is preferred; alternatively, a high school diploma with five years of relevant experience qualifies.

This is a full-time, in-office role within a large nonprofit health system known for supporting its associates and emphasizing service-driven culture.
