About this role
Managing a veterinary clinic requires balancing operational efficiency with genuine care for both staff and clients—and that's exactly what CityVet is looking for in this Practice Manager role at their Lake Worth location. You'd oversee the full scope of facility management, from hiring and developing team members to maintaining quality control across clinical operations, client service, and financial performance. The position demands someone who understands veterinary regulations and safety standards, can implement CityVet's policies consistently, and is committed to creating an environment where staff feel supported and clients receive exceptional care.
The ideal candidate brings at least three years of relevant management experience (or a bachelor's degree) and ideally holds or is willing to pursue Certified Veterinary Practice Manager credentials. Your days would involve interviewing and training staff, conducting performance reviews, handling disciplinary matters when needed, and monitoring day-to-day operations to ensure everything runs smoothly. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires both business acumen and people skills.
CityVet backs up its "people first" philosophy with concrete support: a 401(k) with 4% match, comprehensive health and dental coverage, paid parental leave, flexible scheduling, and free telemedicine for employees and their families. The company emphasizes growth opportunities and professional development, making this suitable for someone looking to build a career in veterinary practice management rather than just fill a position.
