About us:
EverQuote is a leading AI-powered growth solutions partner for regulated property and casualty insurance entities, enabling the largest insurance carriers and thousands of agents to maximize customer acquisition across digital channels. Fueled by our proprietary data assets and our AI traffic engine, EverQuote is transforming the way providers attract and engage consumers to grow market share.

About the role:
As Analyst, Paid Media, you will own the day-to-day buying, optimization, and measurement of EverQuote's display and native channels. These are fast-growing channels for us, and you will be the single owner: planning, buying, optimizing, and proving out what works.
This role is ideal for someone who loves working with data, solving complex problems, and making a measurable impact. Analysts are not just a reporting function at EverQuote; they lead cross functional projects and data-driven decision-making, the core of our operational philosophy as we revolutionize how people shop for insurance.
You will report to the Manager, Paid Media, and work closely with Data Science, Marketing, and Finance. We are looking for someone with analytical ability, an interest in understanding marketplace dynamics and scaling our paid media channels.
What you’ll do:
- Own day-to-day buying, bidding, and pacing across display and native channels against monthly and quarterly targets
- Analyze performance metrics and trends in order to identify opportunities to grow our business
- Drive performance marketing and bidding through rapid testing and building scalable capabilities
- Design, analyze, and present channel tests, such as creative, geo holdouts, or site experience tests Identify opportunities for improvement, design test plans and measurement frameworks, manage testing processes, and implement winning strategies.
- Work directly with platform and managed-service partners, and hold them accountable to their performance commitments
- Collaborate with product, engineering, data science, and compliance teams on cross-functional initiatives
- Leverage your technical skills to automate operations, reporting, and modeling
What you bring to the team:
- Strong analytical mindset with a degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, related field, OR demonstrated analytical and technical experience
- Able to structure and break down a complex problem into its component parts
- Entrepreneurial spirit with a strong sense of urgency and accountability
- Proficient in data analysis and with an understanding of statistics
- Capable of using data to tell a story and drive change
- Curious about what actually creates value in a media channel, not just what the platform reports
- Comfortable owning a number and being accountable for it
- You are a team player and have the ability and desire to collaborate effectively
- Excited to relocate to Boston, or already living here!
Nice to have:
- Native, display, or social display buying experience of any kind
- Hands-on experience in any biddable media platform: Google Ads, Criteo, Microsoft Audience Network or MSN, MediaGo, Outbrain, Taboola, The Trade Desk, Amazon DSP
- SQL beyond the basics, dbt, warehouse such as Snowflake or BigQuery
- Performance marketing at a marketplace, lead-generation, or other business where revenue per session matters more than cost per acquisition
- Insurance, fintech, or other heavily regulated category

About this role
EverQuote is looking for someone to take full ownership of its display and native advertising channels—planning buys, optimizing performance, running tests, and measuring results against clear targets. You'd be the single point of accountability for these fast-growing channels, working with platform partners, internal data science and marketing teams, and finance to drive measurable growth in the insurance marketplace. This is an analytical role with real operational responsibility, not a reporting function.
The ideal candidate has strong quantitative skills (a background in statistics, math, economics, or computer science, or equivalent hands-on analytical experience) and genuine curiosity about what actually drives value in media channels. You should be comfortable breaking down complex problems, designing and running tests, automating workflows, and using data to make and defend decisions. Prior experience buying on platforms like Google Ads, Criteo, The Trade Desk, or similar is valuable, as is familiarity with SQL and data warehousing tools. Experience in performance marketing, lead generation, or regulated industries is a plus.
The role is based in Cambridge, Massachusetts on a hybrid schedule requiring three days in-office (Tuesday through Thursday). The base salary is $80,000, with potential variable bonus, equity, and benefits. You must have current, unrestricted U.S. work authorization; this role does not offer immigration sponsorship.
