About this role

Inspire Medical Systems is seeking a senior leader to orchestrate the company's patient care pathway across all commercial functions—a role that sits at the intersection of strategy, operations, and cross-functional execution. You would own the end-to-end patient journey from awareness through long-term therapy outcomes, working to remove barriers to adoption of Inspire's FDA-approved sleep apnea device. This means translating corporate growth objectives into actionable programs, establishing governance and performance metrics, and coordinating efforts across Commercial, Marketing, Sales, Clinical, Market Access, Product, Digital, IT, and Legal teams without direct authority over most of them.

The position demands strong program and portfolio management discipline: you'll define multi-year roadmaps, manage complex interdependencies, allocate resources, identify and resolve organizational risks, and hold teams accountable to measurable outcomes. Success requires the ability to influence senior stakeholders, communicate data-driven recommendations clearly, and build program management capabilities across the organization. You'll also maintain quality system compliance and field reporting responsibilities typical of medical device companies.

This role suits someone with 12+ years of progressive leadership in program management, portfolio management, commercial operations, or strategic transformation—ideally with 7+ years in a leadership capacity. A bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration, engineering, life sciences, or a related field is required. Based in Minneapolis and full-time in-office, the position offers a salary range of $210,000 to $290,000.
