VCU Health Hospice at Home by BAYADA is looking for compassionate and dedicated Per Diem Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the Richmond, VA. This office services hospice clients on a per visit basis.

Prior home care and/or hospice experience strongly preferred, but not required. As a hospice nurse (RN), you will be an integral member of a multi-disciplinary health care team that provides palliative care to clients, affording them the opportunity to receive the medical care required to remain at home.

Responsibilities for a Hospice RN - Registered Nurse include:

Making home visits to clients in designated geographic territories.
- Performing assigned duties, including administration of medication, wound care, treatments, and procedures and comfort care.
- Monitoring clients' conditions; reporting changes to Clinical or Client Services Manager.
- Following up with, executing, and properly documenting doctors' orders.
- Performing client assessments as necessary.
- Occasional on call after hours and/or weekends
Qualifications for a Hospice RN - Registered Nurse include:

A current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in VA.
- A minimum of one year of recent, verifiable clinical (medical/surgical) experience.
- Prior home care and/or hospice experience strongly preferred, but not required.
- Solid computer skills; prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.
- Ability to travel to cases as assigned.

About this role
VCU Health Hospice at Home by BAYADA is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver palliative care to hospice clients in their homes across Richmond, Virginia. Working on a per-visit basis, you'll be part of a multidisciplinary team managing medication administration, wound care, comfort measures, and client assessments while documenting care and communicating condition changes to clinical leadership. The role includes occasional on-call availability and requires travel to assigned cases within your geographic territory.
You'll need a current Virginia RN license and at least one year of recent clinical experience in a medical or surgical setting. Prior home care or hospice experience is strongly preferred but not required. Solid computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical records systems will support your work, though EMR experience is preferred rather than mandatory. This is a full-time position with weekly pay, direct deposit, mileage reimbursement, medical/dental/vision coverage, 401(k) matching, and one-on-one training.
