About this role
The Law Office of Bryan Fagan is looking for an experienced estate planning and probate litigation attorney to handle high-stakes cases across the Houston area and surrounding Texas counties. You'll lead contested matters from intake through trial—including will contests, guardianship disputes, trust breaches, and fiduciary duty claims—while also drafting comprehensive estate plans. This is a first-chair role where you'll conduct trials, mediations, and depositions independently, develop litigation strategy, and provide direct client counsel through emotionally complex situations.
The firm has deliberately structured this position to let you focus on legal work rather than business development or billing. You'll have a dedicated paralegal and billing coordinator supporting your cases, and you'll work across multiple office locations as needed on a hybrid basis. The role demands at least five years of probate and guardianship litigation experience, active Texas Bar membership, courtroom confidence, and proficiency with Clio, TxDoc, and e-filing systems. Bilingual capability in English and Spanish is a strong advantage.
Compensation ranges from $90,000 to $130,000 based on experience, with bonus potential, plus standard benefits including medical, dental, vision, disability coverage, a 401(k) with up to 5% match, and generous PTO. The firm emphasizes work-life balance and hybrid flexibility, positioning itself as offering big-law structure without the business development pressure.
