About this role
Solid Power is building next-generation all solid-state batteries, and this Production Operator role sits at the heart of that work—operating the equipment that manufactures electrolyte powder for their battery materials. You'll spend most of your time on the production floor running mixers, reactors, dryers, jet mills, and packaging systems, monitoring their performance, weighing and staging raw materials, and completing batch records with precision. The work demands attention to detail, strict adherence to safety and quality procedures, and the ability to spot and report deviations immediately.
This role suits someone with a high school diploma and preferably some background in chemical manufacturing or powder production. You'll need to be comfortable handling chemicals and powders in controlled environments, comfortable wearing full PPE including respirators, and capable of lifting 50 pounds regularly. The company will train you on their internal systems, but you should have basic computer skills and the ability to follow written procedures carefully and work collaboratively with your team.
Solid Power offers competitive benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage; employer-paid life and disability insurance; a 401k match; paid holidays and generous PTO; and eligibility for their equity plan. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday day shift, based in Thornton, Colorado, with a salary range of $24.00 to $28.00 per hour.
