About this role
Kelso Building Services is looking for someone to lead field installation crews on building automation and controls projects across the Phoenix area. You'd spend your time both hands-on—running conduit, pulling wire, installing panels and sensors, and troubleshooting systems—and in a supervisory capacity managing 3–6 person teams, assigning work, maintaining schedules, and mentoring junior installers. The role requires close coordination with project management, engineering, and commissioning teams to keep jobs on track and to standard.
This position suits an experienced BAS or low-voltage electrical installer with at least five years in the field and proven crew leadership in commercial or industrial settings. You'll need solid skills reading controls drawings and blueprints, familiarity with HVAC systems and startup processes, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities. Experience with platforms like Niagara, Honeywell, Johnson Controls, or Siemens is a plus. OSHA 10 or 30 certification and a valid driver's license are preferred.
Kelso emphasizes a culture of integrity and quality, offering competitive pay scaled to experience, standard benefits including medical and dental, paid time off, and opportunities for advancement into higher-level field or project management roles. If you're looking to grow a career in a growing national BAS organization while staying connected to the technical work you know, this role offers both the hands-on and leadership components to do that.
