About this role
3MG Roofing is hiring sales trainees to build their Raleigh territory from the ground up, and they're explicit about what matters: coachability, resilience, and willingness to work. You won't need roofing knowledge—they're more interested in whether you can have conversations, take feedback without defensiveness, and bounce back from rejection. The company values people from sales backgrounds like pest control, telecom, or car sales, but also welcomes those without direct experience if you've got the temperament for it.
The day-to-day involves door-to-door prospecting, relationship building, and converting activity into commissions. You'll receive training and field support as you learn the fundamentals of consultative selling in the home services space. The role is structured as a clear entry point: perform well and you'll move into higher-earning positions with better compensation. This is genuinely a training ground, not a dead-end gig, if you're willing to put in the effort and learn from coaching.
If you thrive on direct client interaction, don't mind rejection as part of the process, and want to build real sales skills with a company that will invest in your development, this is worth a conversation. They're not looking for polished resumes—they want to hear why you think you'd be good at sales.
