About this role

Zscaler's global Zero Trust Exchange platform relies on 200+ data centers worldwide, and this Staff role sits at the heart of keeping that infrastructure running. You'd own the physical deployment, maintenance, and scaling of server, network, and cabling infrastructure across production environments—executing rack-and-stack work, diagnosing hardware and connectivity faults, managing operational tickets, and coordinating with engineering teams and third-party technicians. The position demands hands-on technical depth: proficiency with diverse server platforms, network hardware, fiber and copper cabling, Linux/Unix command lines, and out-of-band management tools like iLO and iDRAC. You'll also need to be comfortable lifting 50 pounds regularly and traveling domestically and internationally up to half the time.

This role suits someone with five or more years in production data center environments who has directed remote vendors and proven troubleshooting chops. U.S. citizenship is required due to customer assignments. The ideal candidate combines meticulous documentation habits and operational discipline with adaptability to hands-on fieldwork. Experience leveraging AI tools, automation, or scripting to streamline workflows and diagnostics is a core expectation—not a nice-to-have—and demonstrable success applying AI-assisted engineering tools to diagnostics or infrastructure automation would set you apart.

The position is remote-based in Amsterdam, reporting to the Director of Network Infrastructure. Zscaler offers a base salary range of €50,400–€72,000 EUR, plus comprehensive benefits including health plans, time off, parental leave, retirement options, and education reimbursement.
