About this role

Jane Pauley Community Health Center is looking for a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant to join a federally qualified health center serving underserved populations across Indiana. You'd work directly with patients and providers in a clinical setting, handling vital signs and patient intake, assisting with procedures and injections, managing EKG testing and lab work, and coordinating referrals. The role also involves significant administrative work—triaging calls, documenting in the EHR, reviewing test results and medications, and ensuring compliance with clinical standards like OSHA and CLIA.

This position requires current CMA or RMA certification, BLS certification, and a background in an accredited medical assistant program. Three years of ambulatory care experience is preferred, and familiarity with specific systems (VFC, CHIRP, VOMS) is a plus. You'll need strong computer skills, attention to detail in documentation, and the ability to communicate clearly with patients, families, and clinical teams.

The organization emphasizes mission-driven work focused on equitable, accessible care. Beyond the clinical responsibilities, you'd be part of a team explicitly committed to serving patients regardless of income or insurance status. The benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, generous PTO, a 401(k) with employer contribution, and life and disability insurance.
