About this role
Supporting senior federal executives requires someone who can manage the operational backbone of a large organization—processing official correspondence, coordinating information flow, and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks. At PBG Consulting, this Staff Assistant role places you at the center of a federal agency's headquarters operations across nine DC-area offices, with a professional support network of roughly 200 people. You'll work directly with agency leadership overseeing nationwide field offices and public-facing facilities, handling the written and administrative work that keeps the mission moving forward.
The position demands strong editorial skills and fluency with Microsoft Office tools, particularly SharePoint, Word, and Outlook. You'll prepare official communications that meet strict formatting and writing standards, coordinate document clearance processes, and communicate frequently with government management about operations and results. This is detail-oriented work that requires anticipating needs and moving information smoothly through the organization—not a support role in name only, but a genuinely central function.
You'll need at least two years of relevant experience, a bachelor's degree, and a SECRET security clearance from DCSA before starting. The contract is based on-site in Washington, DC. PBG offers standard federal contractor benefits including health coverage, retirement plans, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
