About this role

PBG Consulting is looking for a Senior Project Manager / Scrum Master to lead Agile teams supporting a federal agency headquarters program in Washington, DC. You would serve as the primary Scrum Master for one or more teams across a large professional support services operation spanning nine offices in the Greater Washington region, with roughly 200 personnel and expected growth. The role combines traditional Scrum facilitation—removing impediments, fostering collaboration, and protecting teams from distractions—with responsibility for implementing and maintaining a Quality Management System aligned to ISO 9001 standards.

The position requires at least five years of experience, a strong foundation in Scrum practices, and proven success implementing ISO 9001-compliant QMS. You'll need proficiency across Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, Visio, Power BI) and either a bachelor's degree or nine years of relevant experience. An Agile or Scrum certification (PMI-ACP, CSM, or CSP) is expected. A SECRET clearance from DCSA is mandatory before you can start. This is a contract role based on-site in DC, suited for someone comfortable balancing Scrum facilitation with quality systems management in a federal environment.
