About this role

Ascend Healthcare is seeking a Nevada-licensed psychiatrist to provide remote supervisory oversight for nurse practitioners and physician assistants delivering outpatient psychiatric care. The role centers on clinical supervision—reviewing cases as needed, ensuring quality and protocol adherence across child, adolescent, and adult populations, and attending one monthly team meeting. You'll be supporting Ascend's "no wrong door" model, which prioritizes accessible, integrated behavioral health services rather than restrictive eligibility criteria.

This is a contract position requiring an active, unrestricted MD or DO license and board certification. Compensation is structured by caseload: $2,000 monthly for 1–3 assigned providers, $3,000 for 4–6, and $4,000 for 7–8, with the initial assignment expected to be five APPs. The role demands a minimum 12 hours per month for scheduled meetings and case reviews. General psychiatry experience is preferred. Malpractice insurance is included, and the position offers schedule flexibility within a remote-first environment, though occasional in-person attendance may be required.
