About this role

Ascension's OB High Risk nursing role in Nashville centers on coordinating complex care for pregnant patients and newborns with elevated medical needs. You'll implement and monitor individualized care plans, communicate patient status to the healthcare team, ensure physician and nursing orders are executed, and help arrange discharge planning alongside other disciplines. This is hands-on clinical work that demands both independent judgment and strong collaboration across departments.

The position requires a Tennessee-licensed RN with labor and delivery experience—this isn't an entry-level placement. You'll need BLS certification within your first month and either Advanced Life Support or neonatal resuscitation certification within six months of hire. If you don't already hold neonatal resuscitation credentials, Ascension gives you a defined window to obtain them. The role is full-time and in-office at a major nonprofit health system recognized for workplace culture and support.

This opening suits an experienced L&D nurse ready to specialize in higher-acuity obstetric cases and take on a coordinating role within the care team.
