About this role

Onsemi's CFA Equipment Technician role in Nampa supports semiconductor manufacturing operations, working directly with production teams to keep specialized equipment running smoothly across multiple tool types including steppers, etch chambers, wet benches, and metrology systems. You'll troubleshoot equipment failures, perform maintenance, document work in the MaiMa system, and coordinate with equipment owners and process engineers to address issues and improve procedures. The position requires rotating 12-hour shifts (day and night, every 4 months) and occasional overtime, with work taking place in a cleanroom environment involving chemicals and wet process equipment.

The role suits someone with an associate degree in electronics or equivalent hands-on experience who is comfortable working independently and as part of a team. Prior exposure to DNS/Screen coat tracks, Canon steppers, or statistical process control is valued but not required. You'll need to obtain and maintain required certifications, learn SPC and data analysis to monitor equipment performance, and develop the troubleshooting judgment to diagnose and resolve equipment problems. Success here depends on attention to detail in documentation, clear communication during shift handovers, and the self-motivation to keep operations moving while maintaining safety and cleanroom standards.
