About this role

At Ascension's Indianapolis primary care clinic, you'd work directly with providers and patients in a fast-paced clinical environment. Your day would blend hands-on patient care—assisting with exams and procedures, taking vital signs, and maintaining sterile treatment spaces—with the administrative backbone that keeps the clinic running smoothly: documenting medical histories, transcribing orders for labs and imaging, managing records, and handling inventory.

You'll need BLS certification within your first month and Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA) within 90 days of hire. A high school diploma or one year of relevant work experience meets the baseline education requirement, though prior primary care, pediatric, or geriatric experience is preferred. This role suits someone comfortable moving between clinical and clerical tasks, with strong attention to detail for documentation and the ability to keep multiple priorities organized in a busy primary care setting.
