About this role
At APL Logistics' Pleasant Prairie facility, this material handler role centers on the core warehouse operations that keep orders moving: accurately picking and loading customer products onto pallets and into trailers, handling the associated paperwork, and maintaining the equipment and workspace that make it all possible. You'll work with both hand tools and non-motorized equipment like tow motors, manage inventory counts and documentation, and perform specialized tasks like shrink wrapping and labeling as orders require. The position also involves preparing trailers, removing samples for lab analysis before shipment, and participating in the facility's continuous improvement and 5S lean initiatives.
The role calls for 1 to 2 years of warehouse or related experience, solid attention to detail, basic math and writing skills, and the ability to read and follow procedures. You'll need to operate warehouse management systems and other standard equipment, communicate clearly with your team, and stay committed to safety and sanitation standards. This is a full-time, first-shift position paying $19.78 per hour with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision coverage, paid time off, a 401(k) plan, tuition reimbursement, and an employee assistance program.
This role suits someone who works well in a team environment, takes pride in accuracy and organization, and is comfortable with the physical demands of warehouse work. If you have warehouse experience and are looking for stable, full-time work with solid benefits in the Pleasant Prairie area, this is worth considering.
