About this role

Latitude AI, Ford's autonomous vehicle subsidiary, is seeking test drivers to support real-world validation of its hands-free ADAS platform launching on the Ford Fathom in 2027. This is a contract role based remotely but requiring extensive travel across multiple states. You'll operate test vehicles on multi-day missions, collecting critical performance data while executing strict safety and compliance protocols. The work follows a demanding schedule: three weeks on, one week off, with up to 60 hours per week and airfare provided for travel.

Beyond driving, the role demands technical engagement with both software and hardware systems. You'll perform daily vehicle startup and shutdown procedures, actively monitor and troubleshoot systems in real time, and maintain detailed reports on performance and data collection. This requires comfort with extended hours on the road, close collaboration with team members, and the ability to work independently when needed. You should have strong basic troubleshooting skills, technical proficiency with computers and web-based applications, and genuine curiosity about learning new technologies.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED plus two years of work experience; a valid driver's license meeting Latitude's standards; an active passport; and clearance through drug screening and criminal background checks. Prior experience in vehicle testing, fleet operations, or technical driving is valued but not required. This is a 12-month contract assignment suited for someone reliable, detail-oriented, and genuinely interested in contributing to autonomous vehicle development.
