The Science and Technology (S&T) Directorate's mission is to improve homeland security by working with partners (department components, other government agencies, State, local, tribal, and territorial emergency responders and officials) to provide state-of-the-art solutions and/or technology that helps them achieve their missions.
Position Description:
The Bank Card Specialist will support the Purchase Card Manager with oversight of the purchasing card program, ensuring compliance, fraud prevention, and efficient use of cards.
Required Skills:
- US Citizenship required to obtain security clearance
- BA/BS Degree
- Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in financial operations and knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation
- Experience evaluating the effectiveness of the P-card program and identifying areas for optimization

Teracore, a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, is seeking a Bank Card Specialist to work on-site in Washington, DC supporting the Science and Technology Directorate's purchasing card program. This role reports to the Purchase Card Manager and centers on program oversight, compliance monitoring, and fraud prevention. You'll be responsible for ensuring the purchasing card program operates efficiently while meeting federal requirements and identifying opportunities to optimize its effectiveness.
The position requires US citizenship (needed for security clearance), a bachelor's degree, and at least three years of experience in financial operations combined with knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation. You should have a track record of evaluating P-card program performance and recommending improvements. This is a full-time, 100% on-site role suited to someone with solid federal finance background who can balance compliance rigor with process improvement.
