About this role

Praxis Precision Medicines is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to bridge laboratory chemistry and manufacturing scale-up for small molecule active pharmaceutical ingredients. Based remotely but requiring travel to contract manufacturing sites, you'll translate lab-developed chemical syntheses into industrialized processes by creating scale-up documentation, managing data packages for regulatory submissions, and reviewing batch records and quality controls. This role sits at the intersection of technical execution and relationship management—you'll work closely with both external manufacturing partners and internal Quality Assurance teams to ensure processes meet cGMP standards and identify risks before they become problems.

The ideal candidate brings 4–8 years of pharmaceutical or fine chemical manufacturing experience, ideally in CMO management or similar roles involving batch record review and change control. A bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or related field is required; a master's degree is preferred. You'll need strong written communication skills to author procedures and documentation, comfort with data management systems, and the ability to travel regularly to manufacturing sites across the US and internationally for in-person validation activities.

Praxis offers a competitive package including $110,000–$125,000 base salary, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage (99% company-paid), 401(k) matching up to 6%, stock incentives, discretionary quarterly bonuses, flexible wellness benefits, and generous PTO. This is a contract position with a team-oriented company focused on CNS disorder therapies.
