Dizzy Bird is vintage-diner casual style restaurant that is opening soon! The new exiting restaurant will be lively & energetic whilst offering delicious wings, burgers and other food options!

Position Summary:

Lead the restaurant service period, tending to the guest's and exceeding their expectations

Be an approachable and confident team leader by providing comfort and support to our team

Assist with the bar related tasks if required

Ensure the restaurant is adequately stocked and clean at all times

Understand our Dizzy Bird Guest requirements whilst creating a fun & lively experience

Support your Food and Beverage team in general operational tasks

Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new guests to enable future bookings

About this role
Dizzy Bird, a new vintage-diner concept opening in Sydney, is looking for a Food & Beverage Team Leader to lead service during operating hours. You'll manage the front-of-house experience—welcoming guests, coordinating orders, and ensuring meals meet the restaurant's standards for quality and presentation. Beyond guest-facing duties, you'll support bar operations as needed, maintain stock and cleanliness, and provide approachable leadership to your team while keeping the energy upbeat and aligned with the restaurant's lively, casual atmosphere.
This role suits someone with prior experience in a similar food and beverage leadership position who thrives in fast-paced, hands-on environments. You'll need current RSA certification, working rights in Australia, and the self-motivation to solve problems on the fly. The ideal candidate is genuinely enthusiastic about hospitality, comfortable supporting team members, and skilled at building rapport with guests to encourage repeat visits.
