Description

As a Growth Marketing Manager focused on driving growth and adoption of Voyage AI by MongoDB, you will develop and execute growth programs that increase awareness, engagement, and continued usage across the Voyage AI customer journey. You will translate customer and developer needs into compelling lifecycle experiences, campaigns, and experiments across email, in-product, content, and emerging channels.

This role combines product-led growth, lifecycle marketing, and technical audience marketing. You will partner closely with Product, Product Marketing, Analytics, Builder Relations, and Data Science to identify growth opportunities, launch programs, and continuously optimize the Voyage AI customer journey—from discovery and onboarding through activation, adoption, and expansion.

You will be responsible for building measurable growth strategies, segmenting audiences, testing messaging and experiences, and using data to improve performance against key business and product adoption goals. The ideal candidate is a strategic and hands-on marketer who understands technical audiences, is familiar with the AI and LLM ecosystem, thrives in ambiguity, and can turn customer insights into high-impact programs that accelerate the growth of Voyage AI. You bring strong technical aptitude and can drive initiatives from initial strategy through cross-functional execution.

This is a highly visible role that requires natural leadership skills and the ability to work across multiple teams and levels. You are adept at thinking strategically and tactically to move work forward in a complex, cross-functional environment.

We are looking to speak to candidates who are based in Canada for our hybrid working model.

In particular, you will be:

  • Partnering closely with Product to identify opportunities across the customer journey and develop experiences and programs that drive activation, adoption, and continued usage of Voyage AI
  • Designing and executing experiments across audiences, messaging, channels, and experiences to continuously optimize performance and identify scalable growth opportunities
  • Developing and executing growth strategies and programs in partnership with Growth Marketing and cross-functional teams, from opportunity identification through launch and optimization
  • Creating and curating relevant content for driving awareness and adoption, including crafting campaigns that support funnels and lifecycle stages
  • Performing strategic product, market, and customer analyses to identify new growth drivers or opportunities for improvement
  • Uncovering and leveraging new emerging channels and opportunities to accelerate growth and workload expansion
  • Monitoring and analyzing funnel and product adoption KPIs to understand performance, identify opportunities, and measure the impact of growth initiatives
  • Working collaboratively with our Product Marketing and Product team to align messaging and understand relevant product launches and moments to roll into each customer program or campaign

We’re looking for someone with …

  • 5+ years of B2D or B2B experience in growth marketing, with a focus on product-led growth and/or feature adoption and lifecycle marketing
  • Experience designing and executing cross-sell/up-sell strategies to expand customer adoption across product offerings, leveraging insights and tailored messaging to drive incremental growth
  • Deep understanding of marketing to developers or a technical audience
  • Working knowledge of the AI and LLM ecosystem, including how developers build AI applications and use models, APIs, and retrieval technologies, with the ability to quickly develop fluency in new technical concepts and products
  • Drive to provide the best possible experience to our customers and users
  • Understanding of and appreciation for the big picture (market, customers, company) but also the details to successfully scale programs
  • Passion to objectively measure your efforts and only make decisions based on data
  • A collaborative mindset - you love working with others and incorporating relevant feedback
  • An owner mentality - you take complete ownership of your tasks and champion efforts to get them to completion
  • Flexibility and adaptability - you enjoy working in ambiguity. You are calm and effective under pressure and able to pivot quickly. You excel at task prioritization and proper evaluation of situational urgency
  • Focus and drive - you know what matters and apply yourself with gusto, continuously exploring how much faster you can learn and execute
  • Experience or have a working knowledge of product-led growth strategies and KPIs
  • Strong writing skills and the ability to storyboard campaign themes and messages to develop compelling campaigns to bring to market

About this role

MongoDB is seeking a Growth Marketing Manager to drive adoption of Voyage AI, the company's AI-native product. You'd own the full customer lifecycle—from initial discovery through expansion—designing campaigns, experiments, and programs across email, in-product messaging, content, and new channels. The role sits at the intersection of product-led growth, lifecycle marketing, and technical audience engagement, requiring close collaboration with Product, Product Marketing, Analytics, and Data Science teams to identify opportunities and continuously optimize performance against measurable business goals.

This position demands 5+ years of B2B or B2D growth marketing experience, with demonstrated success in product-led growth, feature adoption, and lifecycle strategies. You'll need genuine fluency in marketing to developers and a working understanding of the AI and LLM ecosystem—not just surface-level familiarity, but the ability to grasp how developers actually build and deploy AI applications. Beyond the tactical skills, MongoDB is looking for someone who thinks strategically and tactically in parallel, thrives in ambiguity, and can drive cross-functional initiatives from conception through execution and measurement.

The hybrid role is based in Toronto and offers a salary range of $76,000 to $149,000. It's a visible position that requires strong leadership presence and the ability to influence across multiple teams and organizational levels while maintaining both big-picture vision and execution rigor.
