About this role

UOVO, a national leader in specialized storage and logistics for art and collectibles, is hiring an Art Handler/Driver for its Austin facility. This role combines hands-on art handling with transportation responsibilities, requiring someone who understands how to move, pack, and protect valuable objects safely. You'll manage the full lifecycle of shipments—from receiving and condition reporting to packing for transport and installing or de-installing artworks at client locations or in-house. The work demands both technical skill and problem-solving ability, as you'll troubleshoot installation challenges and handle scope changes on the fly while maintaining detailed documentation and compliance with DOT regulations.

The ideal candidate brings demonstrated experience in art handling, storage, or collection management, along with a valid driver's license (CDL is a bonus). You'll need to be comfortable with the physical demands of the role: regularly moving 150-pound loads on equipment, carrying 40 pounds over distance, and working in varying weather conditions. This is a detail-oriented position that requires strong communication with clients and colleagues, flexibility with your schedule to accommodate occasional nights and weekends, and the ability to work independently while knowing when to escalate issues to your Operations Manager.

UOVO offers competitive pay based on experience, a 100% employer-covered medical option, two weeks of paid vacation (increasing over five years), ten paid holidays, parental leave, 401k matching up to 3%, and other standard benefits. The position is full-time, in-person at the Austin location five days a week.
