About this role
Heapy is building out its Greenville market and looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to be part of that expansion from the ground up. You'd work on mechanical systems design for built environment projects—everything from developing specifications and plan details to reviewing vendor submittals and preparing technical reports. This is a visible role with direct client and leadership exposure, and you'd have real autonomy in managing your work alongside a small, core team.
The position requires at least six years of mechanical engineering experience in the built environment, an ABET-accredited engineering degree, and FE certification with a path to PE registration within your first two years. You'll need solid skills with design software and CAD tools, plus the judgment to adapt standard engineering techniques to project-specific needs. The work involves both desktop design and field observations, so you should be comfortable moving between the office and jobsites in varying weather and terrain.
If you thrive in a collaborative environment, want to grow your career while contributing to meaningful projects, and are ready to help establish a firm's presence in a new market, this hybrid role in Greenville could be a strong fit.
