About this role
Managing a high-stakes Medicare claims processing program for millions of beneficiaries requires someone comfortable owning the full scope of a federal IT contract. At Oddball, you'd be the primary liaison between the Contracting Officer, CMS stakeholders, and the prime contractor, responsible for staffing decisions, cost and schedule management, and keeping program health visible across both operations and modernization workstreams. This is a Key Personnel role contingent on contract award, meaning you'd participate in the proposal process and sign a letter of intent before the work begins.
Your background should include proven program management on large federal IT contracts, with demonstrated ability to manage cost, schedule, and performance across complex, multi-workstream efforts. Experience in a prime/sub teaming arrangement, familiarity with CMS or Medicare environments, and comfort with Agile delivery practices are valuable assets. You'll need to communicate effectively with both technical teams and senior government stakeholders, thrive in a fully remote setup, and work well across matrixed organizations. A bachelor's degree is required, and depending on final contract requirements, you may need U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a federal security clearance.
Oddball offers competitive compensation ($125,000–$170,000), a yearly stipend, comprehensive benefits including a 401(k) match, and flexible PTO. This role suits someone who values impact in the federal space and wants to make decisions that affect millions of people through quality software delivery.
