About this role
Padilla is looking for a Director, Digital Strategy to lead the strategic vision behind clients' digital experiences—from initial discovery through ongoing optimization. You'd own the full arc of website and UX strategy work, conducting research to understand client business goals and user needs, then translating those insights into actionable recommendations around information architecture, user journeys, and content frameworks. This role requires deep collaboration across UX designers, developers, content strategists, and producers to ensure strategy actually gets built, plus partnership with paid media, SEO, social, and other teams to connect digital work to broader marketing outcomes.
You'll need at least seven years in digital strategy, UX strategy, or related agency work, with strong hands-on experience in discovery, user research, and analytics. The role demands skill in both qualitative and quantitative research methods, the ability to synthesize complex data into clear strategic stories, and genuine fluency in how digital experiences fit within larger marketing and communications ecosystems. You'll also mentor junior team members and lead client workshops and presentations, so strong communication and facilitation skills are essential.
This is an in-office position in Boston at a full-service agency known for award-winning work across multiple industry sectors. The role suits someone who wants to shape strategy at scale, work across diverse client challenges, and grow into a leadership position within an established firm.
