About this role

Four Hands, a rapidly expanding furniture wholesaler based in Austin, is seeking a Senior Accountant to own critical areas of the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close. This role sits at the intersection of general ledger accounting, inventory management, and financial systems, requiring someone who can manage complex reconciliations, investigate variances, and ensure compliance with US GAAP while supporting both internal and external audits. You'll work across multiple teams—Accounting, Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain—to resolve accounting matters and validate inventory costs, including landed cost components like freight, duties, and tariffs.

The ideal candidate brings at least five years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a multi-entity or high-growth setting, with a strong foundation in inventory or cost accounting. You'll need advanced Excel skills, hands-on ERP experience (particularly with Microsoft D365), and a solid grasp of cost flow principles and internal controls. A CPA or path to one is preferred, as is experience with technical accounting research and system implementations.

This is an in-office, full-time role in Austin suited to someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and can balance competing priorities without sacrificing accuracy. Four Hands values integrity, collaboration, and continuous improvement—qualities essential for someone ready to help scale processes alongside a growing organization.
