About this role
Dragos protects the critical infrastructure systems that keep communities running—power grids, water treatment, hospitals. As an Associate IT System Administrator, you'd be part of the internal IT team keeping those systems secure and operational by managing the company's own infrastructure, networks, and end-user environments. The role is hybrid based in Maryland, requiring on-site presence a few days weekly.
You'd handle the full range of systems administration work: installing and maintaining servers and workstations across Windows, Linux, and virtualized environments; administering Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Entra ID; managing patching and vulnerability remediation; and supporting employees through onboarding, offboarding, and day-to-day IT issues. You'd also own backup and disaster recovery processes, enforce security controls, document configurations, and automate routine tasks where possible.
The position requires 1–3 years of systems administration experience, strong knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory, hands-on Microsoft 365 administration, and solid networking fundamentals. Experience with virtualization, backup solutions, and troubleshooting independently is expected. A bachelor's degree in IT or computer science (or equivalent) is required; certifications like Security+, Microsoft certifications, or MCSA/MCSE are preferred, as are scripting skills and familiarity with frameworks like SOC 2 or NIST. The salary is $68,000 with equity and comprehensive benefits.
