Associate Underwriter - Commercial Lines

Amwins is seeking an Associate Underwriter for its Springfield, Missouri office to join the Amwins Access team in a full-time, in-office role. You'll support the underwriting process by reviewing submission information, rating and preparing quotes for new and renewal policies, handling inspection recommendations, monitoring reports for consistency, and assisting with policy issuance, endorsements, and accounting procedures. The position involves data entry across multiple systems and requires strong organizational skills to manage competing priorities.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of insurance experience or a degree from an accredited four-year university, with prior insurance experience preferred. You'll need to obtain your Property & Casualty License within 90 days—Amwins covers the cost and provides study support. Proficiency in Microsoft 365, particularly Excel, is essential, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.
