About this role

Leading Veeam's Kubernetes data management platform as a Senior Engineering Manager means balancing hands-on technical contribution with team leadership. You'll manage a group of engineers while actively designing and developing features in Go for Veeam Kasten—the company's flagship backup and disaster recovery solution for Kubernetes environments. This hybrid role requires you to mentor your team, collaborate across product and engineering, and engage with the cloud-native open-source community, all while maintaining deep involvement in the platform's architecture and code quality.

The position calls for someone with at least three years of engineering management experience and five-plus years building enterprise systems in languages like C++, Java, or C#, paired with willingness to develop in Go. You'll need strong fundamentals in computer science, proven ability to design scalable concurrent systems, and a technical degree or equivalent background. Experience with Kubernetes, containers, and cloud platforms is essential; involvement in open-source projects or Kubernetes governance bodies would strengthen your candidacy.

This is an in-office role based in San Jose with a compensation range of $306,000 to $568,320. Veeam offers comprehensive benefits including unlimited paid time off, parental leave, health coverage from day one, and professional development opportunities through learning platforms and annual learning events.
