About this role

Working on a daytime lifestyle show at Atlanta's NBC affiliate, you'd support live and taped productions of Atlanta & Company, a locally focused program built around sales integration and community storytelling. The role spans multiple technical functions—floor directing, camera operation, teleprompter, jib and SteadyCam work, field shooting, and basic editing of promos and voice-overs. You'd also handle studio logistics like lighting setup, guest coordination, and audio management, with shot coordination responsibilities during live broadcasts.

The position calls for 1–3 years of production experience and comfort learning broadcast software (CUEZ for newsroom operations, Edius for editing, Adobe Photoshop). Familiarity with DMX lighting and strong social media literacy are valued. You'll need to work flexibly around live airtime, including nights, weekends, and holidays, manage multiple tasks under deadline pressure, and be physically capable of handling cameras weighing over 26 pounds. Excellent communication with producers and on-air talent is essential.

TEGNA offers medical, dental, and vision coverage for part-time employees, a 401(k) with immediate 100% match on the first 4% of contributions, paid time off, nine paid holidays, and access to virtual healthcare and mental health services through Teladoc and Spring Health.
