About this role
Trilon Group's DRMP division is building out its transportation lighting practice in Orlando and seeking a PE-licensed engineer to lead the technical design of roadway and infrastructure lighting systems. You'd own projects from conception through construction documentation—developing lighting designs for roadways, interchanges, bridges, and site areas while performing calculations, voltage drop analyses, and justification reports. The role requires coordinating across clients, utilities, contractors, and internal teams while ensuring compliance with FDOT standards, NEC, NESC, and other applicable codes.
This position suits an engineer with 8+ years in transportation or lighting engineering who understands design principles and electrical standards deeply. FDOT experience is particularly valued, as is familiarity with tools like AGi32, ETAP, AutoCAD, or MicroStation. Beyond technical execution, you'd mentor junior engineers and contribute to growing the firm's transportation lighting capabilities, meaning your ideas and ownership matter.
DRMP offers solid fundamentals: competitive pay, strong PTO and holidays, 401(k) matching, tuition reimbursement, and both management and technical career tracks. The work is in-office in Orlando and involves the kind of infrastructure projects that have real community impact.
